’Tis The Season (To Drink Eggnog)

Christmas Invaders

“While December brings darkness outside, we spend a lot of time inside. We take the time to celebrate Christmas in the company of our loved ones, but sometimes we might enjoy the simple joys of playing a computer game. Space Invaders has to be one of the most iconic classic arcade games, so to honour its legacy this wallpaper shows what a Christmas themed Space Invaders game might look like, so, therefore: Christmas Invaders!” — Designed by Wim Verpoorten from Belgium.

Merry Newtonmas

“What better way is there to bring in the festive season with an Isaac Newton-themed wallpaper? For geeks and science lovers especially.” — Designed by Passion Digital from the UK.

Miles To Go Before I Sleep

“I always love to think about the New Year and the new opportunities that we look forward to in the new year. I am always used to all the festive, holiday types of wallpaper, but I always think this is a great time for reflection, so I decided to create a wallpaper after many years of wanting to do this. So I thought to find a nice reflective wallpaper off of Unsplash and just figure out a way to express this aesthetically.” — Designed by Chanelle Henry from Philadelphia, PA.

I Wish You A Very Red Christmas!

“December obviously reminds us all of Christmas, and the color red is everywhere. We can see it in the neon lights in the street, in the Christmas papers that we use to wrap our presents, in our hearts, for instance. Everywhere! So I decided to wish everyone a very red Christmas. Peace!” — Designed by Jorge Cruz from Portugal.

Christmas renews our youth by stirring out our wonder, and wondering in it are born our art!” — Designed by Marina Etuci from Malaysia, now residing in Taiwan.

This Month In A Galaxy Much Like Ours

“The 16th of December marks the return of one of my favorite movie franchises, Star Wars, which inspired me to create this wallpaper. I used the 16th because that’s when the movie first starts showing for the public in a few European countries, one of which is my home country, Belgium. Two days later it will appear in theaters across the USA.” — Designed by Kobe Vervoort from Belgium.

Please note that we respect and carefully consider the ideas and motivation behind each and every artist’s work. This is why we give all artists the full freedom to explore their creativity and express emotions and experience throughout their works. This is also why the themes of the wallpapers weren’t anyhow influenced by us, but rather designed from scratch by the artists themselves.

A big thank you to all designers for their participation. Join in next month!
